ART COMICS

HEY APATHY ART COMICS! Welcome to the City of Gears! All throughout the buildings tiny anonymous bubble people sprillar infinetely, propelling the city and fuelling the gears! This image depicts the city of Toronto as an imaginary entity built of endlessly spinning cogs and wheels. I made a series of about 35 really detailed pen & ink drawings on location during my Toronto street art performances. Following a successful and performance oriented summer, I decided to explore some of the themes and symbols that I had developed during the busy season in a set of sustained artworks using my finest technical pens and ink. Most of the summertime artworks were made instantaneously and live in front of large Queen Street West crowds. As the tourist season winded down, I took the opportunity to stop perfermorming and flesh out some intricate artworks. These detailed studies featured the City of Gears, the City Monster and the introduction of a hero and villlian to the mythology. Many of these artworks took between 5-10 days on the streets to complete and remain some of my favourite drawings to this date.See more of these crazy art comics at http://www.heyapathy-comics-art.com/monster-comics-2005.html
