A SOUND FOR ALL PEOPLES! HEY APATHY alternative comic. Even es a young child I remembering listening to, and being deeply affected by the music of Louis Armstrong. I first heard the sounds in the film "GOOD MORNING VIETNAM" and cohersed my father into purchasing the album for me. The music impressed upon me a simoultaneous joy and sorrow, concern and optimism and seemed to be absolutely universal. Is there any one who, in their real hearts of heart or self, does not enjoy this. I'm not certain whether or not Louis was experimenting with subliminal messaging but it feels as though a grand story-teller is educating us, and I always wnat to travel when I hear that beat. This is one of several portraits if musicians that I did for a mini-exhibition.Thr artworks were shown at SUBLIME cafe in Kensington, a wicked place with real coffee and a huge selection of jazz and world music on vinyl.
