Drawings of Trees ( & technologies) Some more pen and ink artworks from the summer of 2011. Nature,Trees, Technologies, man and machine intermingled in these beautifully surreal post metropolis landscapes. The city is a giant gear, but it is all the people, their interactions and the planets reactions that power the machine!

Asides from a simple meditative process ( I sit under trees and draw) these works attempt to reconcile the tormenting battle between nature and technology which has been so predominant throughout the HEY APATHY! artworks. The idea here is to accept the battle as a unified experience ultimately headed towards some sort of world were plants, manimals, animals and machines work together in “Loving Grace”.

These artworks will be available at the Toronto Outdoor Art Show next month. The  limited series includes approximately 15 new tree drawings ( maybe less depending on the whim and prerogative of an aging artist free from responsibilities, philosophies, and any reason not to draw trees). I’ll issue a formal statement when the collection is completed.
