The Big Idea (Exploding Head)

Found a few of these old graffiti street art paintings hiding in a tube. I used to made these kinds of characters live on Queen Street West and at outdoor festivals like the TOAE mostly between 2006-2008. At that time I was a full time licensed street busker and would tape sheets of heavy weight paper to the sidewalk and make tonnes of monster drawings right in the middle of the street. An image like this usually took about 5-10 minutes to finish and some days I’d make 20 – 30 of them depending on the crowds. These 3 drawings are 26 x 38 inches done with black india ink on heavyweight drawing paper. Surprisingly they are in pretty good condition compared to most of the work that survived from those days.

If anyone is interested in purchasing these contact me or checkout my Featured Art page I’m going to sell these for the same price I used to charge out on the street…
